We are seeking a part-time chef!
We are recruiting for a part-time chef to cater for our wonderful weekly Luncheon Club at Cottage Lane Mission, Ormskirk (term-time only), where a 3 course meal for 75 people is served.
You will be required to work 10 hours per week, 4 hours for shopping and preparation on Tuesdays and 6 hours on Wednesdays 8.30 am to 2.30 pm.
You will need experience in the preparation and service of food including catering in volume and show a willingness to work with menus and to standardised recipes. There will be opportunities for you to display your creative flair and introduce new dishes and recipes.
You will be able to show your ability to work in a team and demonstrate good communication skills in running the kitchen. A current food hygiene certificate, with Level 3 being desirable, and Level 2 essential, with a willingness to undertake a Level 3 qualification once in the role.
You will have a good knowledge of health and safety requirements and an understanding of the need to keep the kitchen clean and tidy.
Rate of pay – £12.10 per hour.
Start date – 17 May 2023 or as soon as possible afterwards.
