After 18 months of inactivity, the Dementia Café is due to reopen again this week. Come and join us in a relaxed and fun meeting venue in the local community, for a cuppa, biscuit and a good old get together!
Our Dementia Café provides a safe & friendly environment for people with dementia and their carers who live in the local community. It offers an opportunity to meet and share experiences with other people in a similar situation, make new friends, access information and participate in fun activities.
Our first meeting is this Friday, 27th August, 1:00pm – 3:00pm. We meet in the annexe at CLM church, Cottage Lane, Ormskirk L39 3NE.
All being well, we will then meet on the last Friday of every month, so our next Dementia Café will be on 24th September.
The following cafés will be on 29th October, 26th November, and then a Christmas special on the earlier date of 10th December.
If you have any questions or for more information please do contact us.
Hope you can make it & we look forward to seeing you!
Note for those that attended previously: The Alzheimer’s Society used to run the Dementia Café that was hosted at CLM church but is no longer able to take responsibility for this activity. Community Lives Matter have taken this on but be assured, the activity remains the same. We are glad to be able to serve our community in this way!
