Mental Health Awareness Week & Movement

‘Mental Health Awareness Week’ runs from 13th to 19th May 2024, and as we approach it, it makes us think, what can we do to help each other and ourselves to improve and maintain our positive mental health.

The theme for this year is “Movement: Moving more for mental health”.

Did you know one of the most important things you can do to help protect your mental health is regular movement?

Moving more can increase your energy, reduce stress and anxiety, and boost your self-esteem.

Last week we took our wonderful dementia bowls and carers group out for some fresh air in the sunshine, to have some fun and boost our well being…what a day we had!

We engaged in some great mini golf, (Tiger Woods best watch out)..we had a few hole in one shots, followed by a wonderful lunch at Cherry Orchard at Inglenook Farm.

A simple day out, but what a positive effect it had on all of us.

“Thank you for a wonderful day…it was so much fun, I can’t remember the last time I smiled so much”

Priceless!
