Special visitors made for a special lunch!

The Mayor & Mayoress joined us for our popular weekly luncheon club, and a truly memorable visit was had by all!

Everyone enjoyed the excitement, and the Mayor and Mayoress who were equally impressed by not only the fantastic quality of the food, but the wonderful friendship and bond between the volunteers and members. Following a guided tour and whistle-stop insight into all of the activities taking place at our base in Cottage Lane, they both happily chatted with as many people as possible, and they kindly sent their heartfelt thanks to everyone involved afterwards.

They said …

“They were both absolutely blown away by the loving sense of community, the rapport between the participants and the passion and enthusiasm of the volunteers.”

Their visit was special for both them, and everyone at Community Lives Matter, and we thank them for their time, kindness and generosity of spirit.

On to future weeks and opportunities…

You are warmly invited to follow in their footsteps and visit us at our weekly luncheon club, where you can enjoy a wonderful three course meal for just £5. We pride ourselves on our welcoming atmosphere, and promise you can not only enjoy delicious food, but make new friends too!
